A 15 000 Litre underground Ausdrain tank was installed at a residence in Mosman, Sydney. The home had been extensively landscaped and due to water restrictions in Sydney, the owners had concerns they may be unable to maintain water to the garden.
As a result, they decided to install a water tank to capture roofwater and use this water at their discretion for irrigation and to top up the pool when required. As the block had limited backyard area Ausdrain was able to provide the perfect solution. This involved excavating the back yard and installing an underground EnviroModule tank. Another limiting factor was the presence of rock during excavation. The ability to install a shallow tank 900mm deep (2 layers of EnviroModules) was a great advantage saving on excavation costs.
The tank was turfed over the surface with the only visible element being the lid of the EnviroSump for periodic cleaning of the filter. |
