2. Residential Project - Roseville, NSW

This project required the installation of a 30 cubic metre Detention Tank to capture run-off from new extensions to a residential house in a Sydney suburb.

Originally, a concrete tank had been considered, however, upon further investigation it was discovered that the Ausdrain system was more cost-effective and quicker to install.

Aside from the time taken to excavate, the tank system was installed in an afternoon. This enabled turf to be laid the next day and meant there was minimal disruption to the owner’s front yard.

Polyethylene tank liner is installed to the base and sides of the pit. This will act as a bladder to contain water inside the tank.   Ausdrain EnviroModules are placed within a geotextile fabric as an added pre-caution.

The tank is completely surrounded inside the geotextile and liner and taped at the seams.   Once inlet and outlet pipes have been connected, the tank is backfilled with sand and topsoil.
