3. Installation of a 5 cubic metre Infiltration Tank & 5 cubic metre Nutrient Tank - Croudace Bay, NSW

A 24 lot subdivision near Croudace Bay, NSW required stormwater to be treated for nutrients before discharging to the waterway.

A 5 cubic metre nutrient removal tank and a 5 cubic metre infiltration tank was installed on each lot.

Downpipes from each house are connected to an AUSDRAIN™ EnviroSump to remove sediments and leaf matter. From there, the water passes into the nutrient removal tank where secondary treatment occurs. This tank is designed to accept the first flush and allow this water to slowly infiltrate back into the ground.

Excess water then flows into the infiltration tank where it is temporarily stored and infiltrated. Any excess water is discharged into the bay.

The use of AUSDRAIN™ EnviroModules to capture the first flush, infiltrate or treat and discharge has proven extremely effective in the reduction of nutrients and pollutants flowing into our waterways.

Pit is prepared with a flat bed of sand.   EnviroModules are assembled.

Modules are placed inside fabric.   Fabric is secured around the tank.

Tank is ready for backfill with 400-600mm cover.
