The lightweight nature of this product reduces weight on the structure by 98% over gravel making it the perfect choice for roof gardens and podiums. In addition, there is a 5:1 reduction in the drainage medium height allowing greater soil depth and scope for plantings.

The AUSDRAIN™ cell is the strongest product available on the market with a university tested compressive strength up to 1500 kPa. This allows materials to be delivered directly by truck and machinery to spread sand and soil once a minimum of 400mm has been placed over the drainage cell/ filter fabric layer.

Filter fabric is placed over the drainage cell and is supplied in roll widths of 2m and 4m. The fabric combined with a layer of washed sand, filters the water eliminating staining caused by gravel, stone and soil materials. The drainage cell also acts as a membrane protection layer, however, depending on the membrane it is recommended to use a suitable protection board between the membrane and drainage cell layer.

AUSDRAIN™ 30mm Drainage Cell is available in 356x356mm modules for smaller areas, 356 x 1068mm strips or 1068 x 1068mm interlocked panels for ease of installation on large area projects.

AUSDRAIN™ 30mm drainage modules are ideal for horizontal drainage in smaller landscaped areas and vertically to assist tanking in planter boxes. The modules are easily placed and cut where necessary providing a continuous drainage layer. Filter fabric is supplied separately and in easily layed over the drainage modules. Where required the drainage modules can be interlocked to form continuous vertical sections or are simply layed adjacent to one another on flat areas. The modules are supplied in bundles of 2 sqm per bundle for easy handling.
