1.
Lay the drainage cell over the surface of the membrane
and butt together (interlocking is not required for
horizontal installation). If necessary a 3mm Protection
Board should be placed under the drainage cell to
further protect the membrane. Cut holes where required
through the protection board for the pipe outlets.
2. Cut the drainage cell where required using a hand
or circular saw.
3. The filter fabric is supplied separately in rolls.
Roll out the filter fabric over the drainage cell
allowing for a 150mm overlap at each seem. Also allow
for additional fabric to cushion the edges to protect
the waterproof membrane.
4. Install drainage cell to the walls of the planter
box if required and cover with filter fabric.
5. Lay a 50-100mm layer of washed coarse river sand
to create a filtration layer and
prevent clogging of the fabric (small machinery recommended).
6. Lay the soil profile with a minimum of 400mm depth
before trafficking with heavy machinery or vehicles
over the surface.
